After a famous Roccoco painting by Fragonard

This painting was for an art competition in 2023.
It earned a place in the top 25 category.
The spec was to take an old master’s work and make it your own.
I loved the Rococo style and chose to change the humans in the original painting to animals, in line with my own quirky theme of animals in unexpected places.
The hand painted frame is a reference to the Rococo practice of trompe l’oeil, which aims to trick the viewer into thinking what they see is real.
The painting has been sold, but you can still get it as limited edition print.
