Tiny Art – Postcard size miniature landscape
Oil on board – Framed
Back in 2020 during lock down, we weren’t allowed to buy “non-essential” items. This included oil paints and art materials.
I worried about running out of paint, especially white as that’s the colour that gets used the most. I decided to go small to make the paints last longer. I discovered painting small was fun and a lot quicker than the large paintings I was doing which could take up to three months to complete.
I did a bunch of these tiny paintings, many of which sold.
In December of 2020, I hiked the Drakensberg South with a good friend. We stayed at a place called Eland Valley, which featured this beautiful little lake. All the chalets overlooked this lake. We had no wifi, so we were very much MIA as nobody could Whatsapp us.
It’s not too far from Rhino Peak, if you fancy going there. Very reasonable rates indeed.
One lucky person still has the opportunity to own this unique original.
