In June of 2021, I attempted to climb Sterkhorn in the Drakensberg with a good friend. We stayed at Dragon’s Peak which is nearby.
This little river runs through the site, with a lovely view of Sterkhorn in the background.
I got as far as the Little Berg, once the hike turned into cliff-like rock scrambling, my fear of heights kicked in and I let my friend finish without me. I had a lovely time lunching by a stream waiting for him to get back.
I used a magnifying glass with this painting, it helped with some of the finer detail.
