I found a postcard of Johannesburg
and used it to create an enormous
painting. I wanted it to be a
little bit quirky but there is a
hint of danger in the way the
buildings look like they are about
to fall over. Is my city falling apart?
I also wanted to explore buildings as
a pattern across the canvas.
Patterns have appeared often
in my work and I like to explore
them as an an added two dimensional
element to a 3D depiction.
